Compound S 40 Mastic is an extremely easy and fast to use bitumen paste. Compound S 40 Mastic Rubber Bitumen Paste can be used to fill, for instance, narrow gaps and cracks in asphalt/concrete as well as joints between concrete slabs. Compound S 40 bitumen paste provides perfect waterproofing for the surface. It is also suitable for sealing manhole covers, gutters, roofing and through-structures, as well as gluing concrete edging stones to asphalt and concrete.

Compound S 40 Mastic bitumen paste is extremely easy and fast to use. With Compound S 40 Mastic, you can fill, for example, narrow gaps and cracks in asphalt/concrete and seams between concrete slabs. The rubber bitumen paste provides perfect waterproofing for the surface. The product is also suitable for sealing manhole covers, gutters, roof coverings, and through-structures, as well as gluing concrete edging stones to asphalt and concrete. The bitumen paste is installed without heating.

Compound S 40 bitumen paste is suitable for use even when the substrate to be glued is uneven. Thanks to its thick paste-like nature, Compound S 40 Mastic fills in surface irregularities.

COMPOUND S40 HAS COPRO CLASSIFICATION

Preparation:

• Ensure that the edges of the joint to be sealed are dust and grease-free. COMPOUND – MASTIC S 40 bitumen paste can also be used on slightly damp surfaces.
• The behavior of the sealant is greatly affected by the intersection points of the joints. Therefore, it is advisable to ensure the intersections carefully, considering the possible elongation of the sealant.
• The adhesion of the sealant to the bottom of the joint can be prevented by using, for example, a polyethylene foam strip (Flexijoint) at the bottom of the joint.
• This primer joint tape also helps limit the depth of the joint.
• The working temperature should be between 5 °C and 40 °C.
• The use of primer is not necessary for traditional materials such as concrete, asbestos cement, zinc, or metals.

Usage:

• Carefully seal the edges of the joint and be careful not to leave air at the bottom of the joint.

• +/- 1.2 kg for ten meters with a 10x10mm joint.
