Bonding dispersion concentrate for priming concrete, stone surfaces, and construction boards, and as a mixture additive
BAUTEQ Bonding Dispersion is a concentrated adhesion primer for priming various stone surfaces and other materials. It is well suited for all cement systems and can be used as a mixture additive, for preventing wall surface dusting, and for strengthening weak surfaces. BAUTEQ Bonding Dispersion is a vinyl acetate copolymer, known as a low-odor binder.

Applications

  • For priming floor and wall surfaces before applying levelling compounds or tile adhesives.
  • As an additive to concrete and mortar to improve adhesion and wear resistance.
  • To strengthen plaster surfaces and improve adhesion before applying topcoats or surface finishes.
  • For reinforcing problematic substrates before tiling.
  • To protect stone surfaces against water and alkalis.

Suitable substrates

Concrete, mortar, brick, natural stone, aerated concrete, wood and chipboard, polymeric materials, etc.

Properties
As a primer:

  • Excellent adhesion to substrate and leveling layer
  • Excellent resistance to water and alkalis
  • Very good elasticity and resistance to tensile and compressive stresses, even in damp conditions

As an additive to concrete and mortar:

Improves workability and other mixture properties

Improves adhesion to substrate:

  • Increases elasticity and wear resistance, makes the surface more dust-proof
  • Improves resistance to water and aliphatic hydrocarbons
  • Increases early strength of thin-layer mortars in dry conditions

Substrates

Concrete, leveling compounds, plaster, mortar, brick, natural stone, etc.

Wood materials

Polymeric materials (paint coatings, linoleum, polymeric coverings)

Application conditions

Ambient air and substrate temperature must be at least +10 °C, with relative humidity up to 80%. The surface must be clean, dry, and free of dust. Apply with a paint roller, sprayer, or brush.

Instructions for use

FLOORS:

  • Leveling floors (priming before applying leveling compounds): dispersion : water = 1:3 to 1:10
  • Concrete finishing layers, manually leveled screeds (strengthening and adhesion improvement): 1:5 to 1:10
  • Concrete floor surfaces (strengthening weak surfaces): 1:5 to 1:10

WALLS AND CEILINGS:

  • Plaster (adhesion improvement): 1:5 to 1:10 or up to 1:15
  • Cement mortars 1–5 mm / 5–20 mm (adhesion improvement): 1:5 to 1:10
  • Plaster and lime surfaces (strengthening weak surfaces, apply dispersion with brush and allow to dry): 1:10, on lime surfaces up to 1:20

AS A CONCRETE AND MORTAR ADDITIVE:

  • Add to mixing water in a ratio of 1:5 to 1:20
  • On non-absorbent surfaces, use undiluted bonding primer.
  • To prepare the working solution, mix BAUTEQ Bonding Dispersion with water according to the above ratios.
  • When priming, apply so that no puddles form. For surface strengthening, loose dust must be removed before impregnation.

Storage

Guaranteed shelf life: 24 months from production date if stored in tightly sealed original packaging in a dry place at +5 °C to +30 °C. Product is frost-sensitive!
