Description
The sauna stones are directly above the firebox in a stone basin, allowing the stones to heat up quickly and every drop of water poured on them to vaporize into the sauna. Water that doesn’t vaporize upon contact with the hot stones drains to the bottom of the basin and vaporizes gradually. This results in moist, soft, and long-lasting löylys. By adjusting the stove’s temperature and the amount of water, you can create enjoyable löylys for everyone.
FINNISH CRAFTMANSHIP
Each Juup artisan stove is unique. To ensure uncompromising quality and durability for decades, one person crafts the stove from start to finish. Each stove features a plaque indicating the stove model, serial number, and the builder’s name. The stove has been awarded the Finnish Key Flag symbol. The Key Flag is a registered community trademark and guarantees that the product is made in Finland and employs in Finland.
The stove body and firebox are made of 3 mm carbon steel, and the firebox has only one weld seam. This design ensures that the stove can last from one generation to the next. The original stoves, built by Gösta Juup in the 1960s, are still in use. Due to its solid and durable construction, we offer a 10-year warranty for home use.
FAST AND ECONOMICAL
The Juup Original stove challenges the operating model of traditional stoves. It is primarily designed to heat the sauna room and secondarily the stone basin. The stove draws cold fresh air from the sauna room into the space between the casing and the combustion chamber from the bottom of the stove. This air heats up inside the stove and blows out hot from the top of the stove. This process can raise the sauna temperature by up to 10°C per minute, depending on the size and materials of the sauna room.
Thanks to its two doors, the stove is very easy to light and only requires one load to heat up, plus a few logs to maintain the temperature. The wood burns cleanly due to its large combustion chamber, and the measured carbon monoxide emission is only 0.11%, one of the lowest on the market.
WARRANTY
The heater body and fireplace are constructed of 3 mm carbon steel and the fireplace has only one weld seam. This allows the stove to last from one generation to the next. The original stoves, built by Gösta Juup in the 1950s, are still in use.
Thanks to its solid and durable construction, we grant the stove a 10-year warranty in home use.
