DESIGN
Cube-like design fits well to even modern gardens of today. This new design gives a better sauna experience as it has more room behind the back than a standard barrel has. Higher 2 level benches give a higher sitting point therefore heat distribution is more concentrated to sauna user.
COMPACT & EASY
Icon 220 is made so it can be placed to even a small garden and does not require expensive groundwork. Assembly of this model can be easily done by any family and even though it is a compact model it still fits 4 people to enjoy sauna at the same time.
FLEXIBILITY & SAFETY
Due to the great shape of cube Icon sauna it can be used either with electric or also wood burning heaters and heaters can be always placed at the end of the sauna which means it is always safe for a user to exit from other side without any risk.
PROPERTIES & PRODUCTION OF THERMOWOOD
During the thermowood treatment, the wood is heated to temperatures between 180 and 230° Celsius in the absence of oxygen. The ability of the wood to absorb water is thereby greatly reduced and wood-degrading fungi and bacteria lose their food source. This increases the durability of the wood. All wooden parts of the barrel sauna (except door frames, window frames, roof panels and foundation beams) are made of Nordic thermowood.

The thermowood treatment gives the wood a uniform, brown color that turns gray under UV radiation like all other types of wood. We therefore recommend treating the wood with a wood preservative anyway.
