The Original IKI wood-burning stove is the classic model of IKI Kiuas – the foundation on which all other IKI stoves have been built.
With its impressive 240 kg stone capacity, the Original IKI provides unbeatable steam for even the most demanding sauna-goers, while also offering milder steam from the stove’s sides. Its fast heating time—just about one hour—is thanks to the approximately 1 m² contact surface between the firebox and the stones. Inside the stove, a heat circulation pipe (the same type used in power plants) glows red when heated and rapidly transfers heat to the stones. The stove is suitable for saunas with a volume of 10–25 cubic meters. Draft can be adjusted using the control knob on the glass door. The stove is delivered with a fixed base, which is permanently bolted to the unit.
Safety distances from the mesh body to combustible materials are: 10 cm to the sides, 10 cm to the rear, and 100 cm above.
Note: For uninsulated/exposed flue pipes, safety distances are 1 meter upwards and 50 cm to the sides. Refer to the installation manual for more detailed information.
The stove can be connected to the chimney using a straight, 90°, or 45° flue pipe. Choose your preferred pipe type from the dropdown menu. The stove can also be fitted with a Plus extension – a stone basket installed on top of the stove.
